Assembly of grandstand & stadium seats

Mounting chairs yourself in 4 steps

Mounting grandstand and stadium seats is quite manageable, provided you follow a structured approach. SKOR can perform the installation for you, but if you choose to do it yourself, there are some important considerations. Mount the chairs correctly by following the steps below.

Step 1: preparation and layout

Before you start mounting, first determine the arrangement of the chairs. Do you want a pattern, such as a club logo or club name? Then create a visual design, so you know exactly which chair should go where. This prevents errors and saves time during installation.

Step 2: marking the drill holes

Use a drilling template to accurately transfer the hole pattern onto the grandstand floor or structure. This is essential for a neat and efficient placement. Individually marking each chair takes a lot of time and can lead to inaccuracies.

Step 3: drilling the mounting holes

Once the hole pattern has been fully laid out, start drilling the holes in the concrete or subfloor. Use a suitable drill and pay attention to the depth and diameter of the holes, so that the fastening materials fit well.

Step 4: securing the grandstand seats

Place the grandstand seats in the marked spots and securely fasten them with the supplied plugs and bolts. Work row by row and regularly check that the chairs are mounted correctly and level.

Mounting stadium seats requires a few extra steps. Especially for models with a foldable seat, such as luxurious leather variants, which are supplied as a kit. Follow these additional instructions to perform the installation correctly:

  1. Preparation: re-mark the positions of the drill holes using a drilling template.
  2. Securing the side frames: screw the side frames of the first chair in place.
  3. Installing the backrest: securely attach the backrest to the side frames.
  4. Placing the seat: finally, mount the seat and ensure that the mechanism works smoothly.
  5. Repeat: follow the same procedure for all remaining stadium seats until the installation is complete.

Do you have insufficient manpower or are you stuck? SKOR has specialized installation teams that can mount the chairs quickly and professionally.

Maintenance of grandstand and stadium seats

Good maintenance is essential to extend the lifespan of the chairs and keep them in optimal condition. We have listed a number of guidelines for you to protect your grandstand and stadium seats against wear and tear and various weather influences:

Protection against weather influences

Cover the chairs with covers to protect them from rain, snow, dirt and birds. This not only offers protection against weather influences, but also helps to prevent damage from UV radiation. Sunlight can affect both plastic and leather chairs, causing discoloration and drying out. By properly covering the chairs, you extend their lifespan and maintain their quality.

Regular cleaning

Plastic chairs are best cleaned regularly with a mild detergent and a soft cloth or brush. It is important to avoid aggressive cleaning agents, as these can damage the material. Leather chairs require special treatment; use a suitable cleaning agent to keep the leather supple and prevent drying out or cracking.

Inspection and maintenance of fastenings

Regularly check that the bolts and plugs are still securely fastened and immediately tighten loose fastenings to ensure stability and prevent wear. Replace damaged or worn parts in time to ensure safety. By consistently applying these maintenance measures, your grandstand and stadium seats will remain in good condition and last for years.
