Movable soccer goals are ideal for clubs that value flexibility and efficiency. With movable goals, you can easily adapt to any situation on the soccer field. In this blog, you will read all about the available sizes, net attachment, accessories, safety, and maintenance.

What is a movable soccer goal?

A movable soccer goal, unlike a fixed goal, is designed so that you can easily move it across the field or terrain. This makes this variant particularly practical for clubs and coaches. You can flexibly respond to changing field layouts, different training forms, and combining multiple age groups on one complex.

What types of goals are there?

Movable goals are available in different sizes, so there is a suitable size for every age category and training situation.

The portable goals are made of lightweight aluminum. This allows you to easily lift or move them from one side of the field to the other. This gives clubs a lot of freedom in arranging their fields and makes training sessions more flexible.

Net attachment for portable goals

Just like with fixed goals, there are two commonly used ways to attach the net: ComFix and net strip. Both systems ensure that the net remains taut.

  • ComFix: this is one of the most reliable net attachments. The biggest advantage is that you often only have to hang the net once. After that, it stays firmly in place, meaning clubs have little maintenance for the goal nets.
  • Net strip: with this system, the net is clamped into an aluminum profile. It is easy to use and does not require complicated assembly.

Both net attachment systems are safe, durable, and ensure that the net remains properly taut during training sessions and matches.

Goal accessories

Although portable goals are already easy to move, you can simplify their use even further with handy accessories, especially for larger sizes. Many clubs choose to convert these goals into what is known as a wheelbarrow model. This involves attaching carrying handles and wheels to the goal, making it even easier to move across the field or pitch. This saves time and effort, especially when goals are regularly moved for training or matches.

Safe use of movable goals

Safety is an important consideration when moving and using goals. Always ensure that large goals have sufficient weight or anchoring to prevent tipping, especially on hard surfaces or in windy conditions.

This can easily be done by attaching goal weights to the bottom of the goal, which provides extra stability and reduces the risk of tipping. Also, regularly check the condition of the frame, net attachment, and accessories. This reduces the chance of accidents and extends the life of the goal.

User-friendliness of movable goals

Movable goals offer many advantages and are therefore a valuable investment for sports clubs.

  • Cost-effective: one set of goals can serve multiple teams. For example, a 5 × 2 meter goal can be used for both junior matches and senior training.
  • Flexible field layout: coaches can quickly adjust the field setup. This allows you to make optimal use of the available space and efficiently arrange a complex.
  • Easy to store: goals that are not in use can be easily moved and stored, keeping the sports park tidy.

Maintenance & storage

Good maintenance significantly extends the lifespan of your portable goals. Rinse dirt and mud from the aluminum frame, check the nets for wear, and replace damaged strips in time. Preferably store goals that will not be used for an extended period in a dry, wind-sheltered place, such as in a storage room or under a shed. This prevents unnecessary wear and ensures that the goals last longer.

Purchasing a portable goal

Portable football goals combine flexibility, ease of use, and durability. They make it easy to set up fields and organize training sessions efficiently, while accessories and good safety measures keep them safe and stable. With regular maintenance, the goals will last for years and remain a valuable investment for any club.
