KNHB requirements
The standard size for a field hockey goal is 3.66 x 2.14 meters. The KNHB (Royal Dutch Hockey Association) sets various specific requirements for this size:
- The dimension of 3.66 x 2.14 meters is used on a full-size pitch and must be measured internally.
- The goalposts and crossbar must be 5 cm wide and 7.5 cm thick.
- In addition, the KNHB stipulates that the goal must have a backboard that is 3.66 meters wide and 0.46 meters high.
- The sideboards must be at least 1.22 meters long and, like the backboard, must have a dark color on the inside.
Different SKOR models
SKOR has a wide range of field hockey goals and, in addition to 3.66 x 2.14 meter goals, also offers field hockey goals in smaller dimensions. These include mini goals, flip-over goals, and youth field hockey goals:
1. Mini field hockey goal
On our site, you will find various mini field hockey goals. These goals are ideally suited for use in training, to allow for shooting practice on different goal sizes. Due to their dimensions, the goals are easy to move. The mini field hockey goals are available in three different sizes: 1.2 x 1 meter, 2 x 1 meter, and 2 x 1.5 meters. The posts and crossbar are made of aluminum, and the inside of the backboard is made of polyethylene plastic. The corners are rounded to prevent players from getting injured and to prevent material damage. The net for the mini field hockey goals is attached via a plastic net strip.
2. Flip-over goal
The flip-over goal is a field hockey goal that can be used multifunctionally. We offer flip-over goals in two sizes: 1.2 x 0.8 meters and 1.8 x 1.2 meters. By placing the goal on its side, a different size is created. The flip-over goal is therefore very suitable for use in training and is lightweight.
3. Youth field hockey goal
The youth field hockey goal you find on our site has dimensions of 3.66 x 0.46 meters and is comparable to the backboard in a 3.66 x 2.14 meter goal. This goal is suitable for youth matches. The goal can be easily folded and transported because it is equipped with swivel castors. The backboard is made of 10mm thick polyethylene plates.
4. 3.66 x 2.14 meter field hockey goal
This is the dimension in which we offer the most choice. In addition to various outdoor goals, you will also find an indoor goal in this size. This is a foldable goal in EHL-X style that comes standard with goal weights. For outdoor goals, you have the choice between a standard goal, a Pro-Plus goal, and Euro Hockey League goals. The standard goal is a very sturdy and budget-friendly choice and can optionally be supplied with wheels. The Pro Plus field hockey goal is very suitable for matches. Regarding net suspension, you have the choice between traditional and free-hanging net suspension for this model. Wheels are also an option here. The backboard of this goal consists of concrete plywood and granulate rubber, which reduces impact and noise pollution.
In addition, we have three types of EHL goals, our top models. These models offer resistance to high-impact balls. All EHL models have free-hanging net suspension and can be fitted with sponsorship on the side.
