What material are the goal nets made of?
Our nets are made from two types of plastic: polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE).
- PP nets are flexible, lightweight, and affordable, but wear out slightly faster.
- PE nets are stronger and more durable, but less flexible and more expensive to purchase.
Which choice is best depends on how intensively the net is used and what lifespan you expect.
Do you also offer black/colored goal nets?
No, we do not offer completely black goal nets on our website, with the exception of the ball stop net. The standard color is white, but we also have various color combinations, so you can match the net to your club colors. The KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Association) advises white nets due to their good contrast.
A quality goal net is just as important as the goal itself. It ensures that the ball is caught properly and contributes to a professional appearance of the pitch. The correct version is determined by the dimensions and construction of the goal. In addition, the desired colour, mesh size, thread thickness, and intensity of use play an important role.
Our range of football goal nets
SKOR supplies football goal nets in various sizes and designs. For official full-size football goals, nets are available that fit a goal size of 7.32 x 2.44 meters. For training sessions, youth football, and small-sided games, smaller nets are available for, among others, junior goals.
In addition to standard white goal nets, options in club colours are available. This ensures the net matches the identity and appearance of the club or sports facility.
Material and design
The goal nets are made of polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE). PP nets are flexible and easy to install. PE nets have a stiffer structure and are suitable for applications where dimensional stability and intensive use are important considerations.
Depending on the goal net, thread thicknesses from 3 to 5 mm and mesh sizes of 45, 100 or 120 mm can be chosen. The right combination depends on the goal type, net construction, and desired appearance.
For aluminium football goals, nets are available that fit various constructions, such as goals with net supports, tension poles, or backstays.
Which football goal net is suitable?
To determine the correct net, not only the width and height of the goal are important. The top and bottom depth and the shape of the net suspension must also match the goal model.
For example, a goal with tension poles requires a different net shape than a goal with a fixed back structure. For foldable football goals, the net must also provide sufficient space to fold the goal in and out without obstruction.
Attachment and maintenance
A goal net must be evenly distributed over the frame and securely attached. Within the range of football goal accessories, various fastening materials and parts are available for correct installation.
Regularly check the net for torn meshes, wear, and loose fastenings. Timely replacement prevents further damage and contributes to a safe and presentable sports facility.
