Our history

It started with making a goal for our founders' club. With a couple of goal nets and the right welding skills, the first goals were made. Soon the next club came, and that's how things got started. But that's not the whole story. We'd love to take you on a journey through SKOR's history.

2001
ERMA Outsourcing founded

The starting point. Sport was not immediately the main activity. SKOR was founded in 2001. Marcel Schorn, together with his brother Erwin, embarked on this adventure. They did so under the name ERMA Outsourcing. At that time, they were the link between the technically unknowledgeable client and the suppliers. At that point, it was not yet focused on sport. They continued this for 2 years.

2003
First goals welded

Marcel's club, SV Almelo, was looking for football goals. Finding a good deal proved not so easy. So, they decided to make them themselves. And so it happened. As a mechanical engineer, he was able to draw up a design, and his brother Erwin could weld it. The reactions to the result were so positive that other clubs in the area were also interested in these goals. A website went live, a request for goals and dugouts from Amsterdam came in, and the official launch of ERMA Sport was given. The first goal still stands in front of our office.

2005
First Dugouts at Professional Football Club

In our own Almelo, at Heracles, the first dugout was delivered to a professional football organization. More and more clubs, including AZ and FC Twente, chose ERMA Sport's materials.

2008
Relocation to new premises

ERMA Sport has grown to such an extent that a relocation is unavoidable. The new building at Bedrijvenpark Twente is equipped with techniques that make the building as sustainable as possible. An important component is the Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) system. 2008 is also the year that commercial director Jeffrey Jonkman started working at SKOR, at that time still as a technician and in the office.

2010
Largest player in the Benelux

With a keen eye and the ambition to be the best, we are growing into the largest player in the Benelux. A great milestone and even more motivation to continuously develop and expand.

2017
ERMA Sport becomes SKOR

Jeffrey Jonkman will become commercial director. Another, expanded range is also being developed. This includes a different name. From 2017 onwards, SKOR is a fact. While we were previously ERMA Sport, a manufacturer of outdoor sports products, SKOR is now truly a football brand for outdoor ball sports. The focus is no longer solely on so-called hardware.

2018
Company doubles in size with new warehouse

The company size has doubled. Both the area and the number of employees are expanding rapidly. A new warehouse, next to the factory, provides more capacity. Product development and marketing departments are seeing the light of day, and our sales team is also getting extra power to provide more service to customers. The goal of being climate-positive becomes an extra driving force. We want to take our responsibility. That's why there are solar panels here too.

2020
SKOR at the Olympic Games

A golden request has come in from Tokyo. Especially for the Olympic Games, we are supplying no fewer than 12 hockey goals. These goals are already known and trusted by the EHL and numerous top clubs, both nationally and internationally. But this is truly next level. We are going for gold.

2023
Global sports brand & 10% Climate Positive

SKOR has the ambition to become a global sports brand. We are not afraid to say so. By constantly improving and testing, we ensure that you only get the best. In addition, we are working hard to be climate positive by 2025. An important step we are taking this year is expanding our electric vehicle fleet. In doing so, we are focusing on CO₂ reduction and offsetting.
