At Stadion Feijenoord, better known as De Kuip, we recently built new dugouts for both the home and away teams. This was a special project where customisation, comfort, and aesthetics came together in a final result that perfectly matches the atmosphere of the historic stadium.

The challenge

The client asked for new dugouts that would match the unique character of De Kuip in terms of appearance, while also meeting modern comfort requirements. Three important wishes played a role: optimal sightlines for players, coaches, and the public; space for sponsor branding; and a solution for rain ingress into the dugout.

Our solution

SKOR provided a comprehensive approach. We designed multiple concepts, together with the client and stakeholders, carefully optimizing sightlines for players and staff. Additionally, we built prototypes which we tested in practice. Through this iterative approach, we arrived at a final result where design, comfort, and functionality perfectly converged.
