For the Amsterdam Pirates baseball and softball club, SKOR installed two new dugouts on the main field of the women's softball team. The club, with a rich history since 1959, is one of the largest in Europe. The main field where the dugouts have been placed regularly hosts international matches and other important games.
The challenge
Amsterdam Pirates wanted to equip the main field of the women's softball team with new dugouts that match the high level of the club. Important requirements included comfort for players and staff, sufficient space, and modern amenities such as power outlets and lighting. In addition, there was a specific need for extra storage space at the home dugout.
Our solution
In close cooperation with the City of Amsterdam, SKOR designed and installed two high-quality softball dugouts, fully tailored to the club's wishes.
The home dugout is 14 metres long and features an integrated 2-metre-wide equipment shed. Ideal for safely and dryly storing sports equipment. The away dugout is 12 metres long, without a storage shed. Both dugouts are equipped with power outlets and lighting, ensuring everything functions optimally even during evening games.
The seating consists of comfortable artificial grass benches: durable and low-maintenance. Additionally, the dugouts are equipped with practical coat hooks and storage shelves for bags, keeping the space tidy and organised.
