At Sportpark Parkhout in Nieuwegein, Mixed Hockey Club Nieuwegein (MHCN) opened its brand-new and sustainable accommodation in September 2024. SKOR made a significant contribution to furnishing the complex with, among other things, six dugouts, professional hockey goals, advertising board profiles, and special referee dugouts. The result is a modern and complete sports environment where both recreational and high-performance hockey can take place.
The challenge
The move to a new accommodation offered MHCN the opportunity to completely align its sports facilities with the future. The club sought a partner who could not only provide sustainable and high-quality materials but also contribute ideas for customised solutions for their members, supporters, sponsors, and officials. The emphasis was on functionality and appearance, fitting for one of the most sustainable hockey clubs in the Netherlands.
Our Solution
SKOR advised on and delivered a complete set of furnishing materials that align with the club's ambitions. For example, six hockey dugouts, each six meters long, were installed, equipped with sturdy checker plate bag shelves and convenient coat hooks. In addition, special 2-meter-wide referee dugouts were placed on three fields, so that officials can also sit dry and comfortably along the sidelines. The club considered this an important addition to the complex.
Besides dugouts, we also supplied our popular PRO PLUS hockey goals with integrated wheels for easy relocation, suitable for intensive use at all levels. To make sponsors clearly visible, Topline advertising board profiles were also installed, both at the top and bottom, which present the sponsor expressions neatly and professionally.
