At AZ Alkmaar, a crucial question arose: how can disabled supporters get a comfortable and dry spot along the field, without compromising their view of the match? SKOR offered the perfect solution in collaboration with Rainboow. Compact, foldable canopies that provide protection against weather conditions. AZ is thus the first Dutch professional football club to have implemented this innovative solution.

The challenge

It was of great importance to AZ that their disabled supporters could enjoy the matches to the fullest, regardless of the weather conditions. A canopy was necessary to protect them from rain, but traditional solutions could obstruct their view of the field. The challenge was to find a solution that was both compact and functional, without sacrificing the viewing pleasure of the supporters.

Our Solution

SKOR introduced the Rainboows as the ideal solution for AZ. Rainboows are small, clever canopies that can be easily folded when not in use. This means they take up minimal space while offering maximum protection against rain and wind.

Thanks to the well-thought-out design, supporters maintain an unobstructed view of the field, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the match experience. This makes the Rainboows not only practical but also suitable for sports facilities where functionality and comfort go hand in hand. Although the Rainboows at AZ have been specifically installed for disabled supporters, they can also be used in practice by the press or other groups who need shelter.
