Veendam is an association founded in 1894 and boasts a rich history. The sports complex is therefore an important place for players and supporters alike. To modernize the stadium without losing the club's character, a renovation was necessary. SKOR accepted this challenge and provided a complete turnkey solution that elevates both the comfort and the appearance of the complex.
The Challenge
Veendam's stands were outdated and no longer met modern requirements for comfort and safety. The club wished to fully renovate the stands with new grandstand and stadium seats and a safe dividing wall between the home and away sections. It was important that the historical character of the sports complex was preserved.
Our solution
SKOR completely unburdened Veendam by executing the project from A to Z. The old seats were dismantled and replaced with new grandstand and stadium seats, with the word 'Veendam' incorporated into the seat design. In addition, a custom-made glass partition wall was installed between the sections for home and away supporters, which modernly improved safety without detracting from the stadium's appearance.
To increase supporter involvement and provide them with a piece of club history, they were given the opportunity to collect their old grandstand seat. This way, they have a beautiful memory of the old stadium.

Project Results

This, of course, happens from the sports complex at De Langeleegte, where the renovated stands play an important role in the experience of players and supporters.
