Camo VS Future balls
SKOR sells two different types of footballs: hand-stitched footballs (Camo) and thermo-bonded footballs (Future). Both types are used at a high level, but differ in product properties, playing feel, and maintenance.
The hand-stitched football is known for its traditional craftsmanship and familiar ball feel. The thermo-bonded football has seamlessly bonded panels, which means it loses less air, stays inflated longer, and needs to be pumped up less often, while maintaining its shape and playing quality.
The differences at a glance
Production method
- Hand-stitched: panels are hand-stitched, which provides a traditional ball feel.
- Thermo Bonded: panels are seamlessly glued under high pressure and temperature, with less air loss.
Bladder
- Hand-stitched: latex bladder for a better bounce and direct ball feel.
- Thermo Bonded: butyl bladder that retains air longer and needs to be inflated less often.
Shape Retention
- Hand-stitched: canvas backing supports the shape.
- Thermo Bonded: high compression ensures a perfectly round and stable shape.
Cushioning
- Hand-stitched: not necessary for every model.
- Thermo Bonded: foam layer for a softer touch and extra comfort.

Two types of footballs: traditional and hybrid
Within SKOR's assortment, a distinction is made between hand-stitched footballs and thermo-bonded (hybrid) footballs. Each type has specific characteristics that affect the feel of play, shape retention, and maintenance of the ball.
- Camo: Camo footballs are hand-stitched and equipped with a latex bladder. This results in natural and soft ball contact with good bounce properties. This design is well suited for clubs that prefer a traditional football with familiar playing characteristics.
- Future: Future footballs are produced without stitching and bonded under high pressure. The combination with a butyl bladder ensures that air pressure is maintained longer and the ball needs to be inflated less often. The ball absorbs little water, retains its round shape, and offers extra comfort thanks to a foam layer.
The right football per age category
Not every player uses the same ball. That's why SKOR supplies footballs in sizes 3, 4, and 5, with the weight also adjusted to the age and development of the players. This way, you always train and play with a ball that suits the target group.
